MTV announced that they are going to broadcast the concert of Gorillaz from Roundhouse in London, where the magnificent cartoon band is going to play 2 nights in a row – 29th and 30th of April.
MTV is going to stream the tracks from the new album of Gorillaz – Plastic Beach, live through their websites all over the world. MTV announced they will also start a program to support the show.
The event in The Roundhouse will include tracks from Plastic Beach as well as a video animation, an artwork and a movie produced by Jamie Hawlett.
Murdoc says that he feels really breathless when thinking about that he is going to step on the Roundhouse stage in just a week as there were performed some great concerts of some of the most legendary bands in the world like – The Clash, The Doors, Greasy Truckers Party and others. “Watch out, it is going to be loud” says Murdoc.
These are the first concerts of Gorillaz in London since the year of 2001. They will be recorded exclusively by the team of MTV UK and will be broadcasted on air, reaching over 600 million households from 170 countries. That’s a part of MTV’s World Stage.
The performance will be also streamed live in Gorillaz.com as well as in the official profile of Gorillaz in Facebook.
